Unfortunately, the only way to get the vehicle out of a private tow lot is to show proof of registration.  You will need to get ahold of the person you bought the car from and ask for their assistance. If the title is in the glove box that will be helpful, and you should ask the towing company if you can check for the title as well.   However, I am just letting you know it is going to be a difficult road ahead, and you might not get the car back, if you can't get the help of the owner who is on the registration.

What about the car that was legally parked ,any random person can just decide they don't like you and call a tow truck
