Customer

No problem. In order for a policeman to search your car without a warrant they need probable cause or reasonable suspicion of drugs in the car. If a dog is brought the dog typically needs to be brought in close proximity to the car to signal drugs are present. If the dog never left the cop car then that is a major issue as the policeman did not get probable cause or reasonable suspicion.  If drugs were found, your lawyer should be able to throw that evidence out as illegal search and seizure.

Customer

Eric Yepez, Expert

You will be able to request the car dashboard camera as well as the camera on the policeman too.

Customer
they said they didnt have any

Eric Yepez, Expert

Well, your lawyer will be able to cross examine them on the witness stand to show they did not have reasonable suspicion.

Customer
they will lie of course

Eric Yepez, Expert

Well, a good lawyer will have tactics to make them untrustworthy. Good lawyers can do that. That's how you get a jury to rule in your favor.

Customer
the bank parking lot may have some camera of what happened?
img

Eric Yepez, Expert

Yes, I agree. Your lawyer needs to subpoena all security cameras in the vacinity of the vehicles.

Customer
will the bank give it to me if i ask?
img

Eric Yepez, Expert

You will need to ask your judge for a subpoena for the footage if you do not have a lawyer. If you do have a lawyer, he can issue a subpoena directly to the bank for the video.
