If a high health needs child is in school from 8.30am-3pm and no one changes her for months. Is that a breach of her

Expert's Assistant chat
Customer: If a high health needs child is in school from 8.30am-3pm and no one changes her for months. Is that a breach of her human rights. My childs school was supposed to apply for a toileting aide they didn't and for months she has been in one pull up all day. They see nothing wrong with this but I do
JA: Because education law varies from place to place, can you tell me what state this is in?
Customer: Timaru new Zealand
JA: Have you spoken to a local attorney or school administrator? What is your ideal outcome for this situation?
Customer: My ideal outcome would have been that they did what they were meant to do. Because our relationship with the school broke down to the point where I pulled them out and now have to find a new school.
JA: Is there anything else the Lawyer should know before I connect you? Rest assured that they'll be able to help you.
Customer: The school have picked on me and discriminated against me from day one because we used to home school and they have negative bias. My daughter has been getting teased and called names like baby pants and having kid tell her she isnt beautiful

You can complain to the board of trustees although you may have done this. You could also complain to the Ministry of Education about the failure to help

This isn’t a human rights issue but is a health and safety issue

Customer
Hi, my daughter is high health needs, shes under a private pediatrician and a continence team. Her school Grantlea Downs have not applied for a toileting aide for her. So she has been going to school in a dry pull up and coming home after a school day (8.30am-3pm) very soggy and smelling of urine. The Developmental co-ordinator told me they gave the school the form at their first visit with us shortly after we first enrolled. And they haven't passed the form on us to get in signed. Is this a breach of her human rights cause I find it appalling.
Customer
because of this she has been getting teased. The principal called me a liar. Saying this never happened. I don't know how he can lie so blatantly.Kids have been calling her baby pants and saying really mean things to her which has lead to school reluctance which the school also blame me for.
Customer
have they breached her rights in the area of health and safety. I have complained to the Ministry of Education but the person I spoke to was unhelpful and didn't seem bothered as I am that my daughter is having to put up with this. It's not exactly pleasant for her or good for her dignity or self esteem or making friends.
Customer
To me for her not to changed really annoys me. It is a basic right and they can't even meet it.
Customer
I have Aspergers and I feel discriminated against and like the school are bullying my family because I also have a child on the ASD spectrum and my son is awaiting testing for Dyslexia. So I feel like they are picking on us and trying to take the attention off what they aren't doing.
