This will depend on how long you have had the car. If your bought this very recently, then you should expect the dealer to pay for this. If this is a car you have had for some years, then they may say it is fair wear and tear.
Perhaps if you have had the car a medium period, you can say that you expected this would be at least partly covered by the Consumer Guarantees Act
