This may need some discussion with the marae trustees on a wider scope than just the chairman. You could ask for a special meeting of the marae trust and put this issue to the meeting. It could even be a matter you could take to the Maori land Court. So my suggestion is to take this wider than the chairman, and try to resolve with a special meeting of the trustees and then if you cannot agree, to the Maori land Court
