This is likely to be a relatively minor charge, and you may even qualify for diversion if this is a first offence

You can attach documents, but delete the names

Customer
I just brought the car and didn't have a chance to clean it they saw us in a car park in town came over said you only have 1 number plate then looked in back of car and saw a broken branch of a marijuana plant stalk they searched the car and found a black bag under seat asked I owned it I said no they opened it and found a very small bag with looked like min amount of meth in it they took us to police station put us in a cell no finger prints or mug shots taken then said be in coyrt 30th march
Customer
I hope you can advise me
Customer
My partner was also present he was not charged but still had to go into cells

It isn't a jail matter probably and you can defend this on the argument you didn't know those items were in the car. If you provide evidence you just bought the car, and explain that you just did not know about the items, a judge may believe you-but there is a risk they may not. You may need to apply for legal aid if you are not working

Customer
If you look at the notice of police bail charge 3252 process cannabis plant well I'm confused because when they found the branch they asked if I had anymore cannabis and I said yes And gave them a small personal use bag of marajuana
Customer
i only have a bail notice

You will not know exactly what the charges are until they give you the charging document. They may not bother charging you for the bag of weed for personal use

Customer
this I have no idea what they mean
img

Chris The Lawyer, Expert

When you go to court or possibly before they will give you the charging documents with the actual charges

img

Chris The Lawyer, Expert

That document is required where they do not have a search warrant

Customer
Should they have finger printed and photo me
Customer
Is the document legal if it's not completed
img

Chris The Lawyer, Expert

If they have not finger printed you and taken your photo, it may be because they do not think this is too serious

Customer
Why didn't they give me the charging sheet can I request them from the police station
img

Chris The Lawyer, Expert

They will do so, but may not have had time. If you talk to the police I am sure they will give you the correct documents like the charging documents before you go to court
