This involves more than one party and also could be a breach of my sons rights. Ok I will tell you Myu son is severly disaabled and lives in a residnetial care facility. He is an autistic savant and had lessons from a well known music tgheacher in Tawa who also arrnaged for him to join the locla community orchestra. We were in Taiwan for a year at the time but came nhome to see him. At orchestra he became diustressed and lashed out. he had 2 carers with him. He was expelled and his carers were not asked for any explantion. Se sought to get him back in the orchestra and agreed with his care faciltiy to put up a mangment plan. He continued with his private mucis lessons. His care orgnisation would take him However Covid 19 lockdown occurerd. After that there was still no prgress so I wrote to the Board of the ordvhestra and was diusmayed to find be told of another incident which occured in his provate mjusic lesson which we knew little about. It was a rpvate msuic lesson and ntohgin to do with the orchestra board. Howevber the Board used this to degrade him sahying it was not the enviornemtn they wangted for thier teachers. We pa for thee lessons not them and the orchestral board had no right to be in recept of any information without our expressed consent. I have asked the teachere for an explantion and I did not get any resonable explantion other than she was his teacher and on the board so she implied she had the right to pass on that information. A further letter from the Board admitted in wirting that it was a private lesson and trired to justtify. There is more to this but we declined to a meeting which was offered because we were restricted from raising our concerns about their misconduct. We were not going to seek readmission as we have lsot all faith in both the the teacher and orchestra. With a free flow of infomatioin from private msuic lesssons to the Board it would be no time before something else was passed on to be used against him. I have it in writing that they consider have done nothing wrong. I think we may need an appropriate lawyer which we can pay for to look over the docunments and advise us the best way forward. We would like a full retraction and apology both to our son outselves and to the care facility that were also poorly treated. Also we dont wnat our business spread around especially among other music teachers and groups as we seek to find other teachers and activities for him. Finally I would add the criticism of him in the private mjusic lesson was a cruel and inhumane as it related to him being in severe distress. We were back in NZ and it was a time I could not attend as a parent. She did not consider it serious enugh to inform us over an incident which could have cuased serious injury but instead gave graphic details to the orchetral board which were contained in a letter to us
