Expert's Assistant chat
Customer: I need help with my landlord deducts money on my bond for lawn if its legal?
JA: Because laws vary from place to place, can you tell me what state the property is in?
Customer: Lawn is not in a good position, but i have proof of landlords contractors parking at the lawn when they onsite to do working.
JA: What are the terms of the lease? Any issues related to maintenance or upkeep?
Customer: House was really in poor conditions, one time we had a leaking gas at the house and we fix it ourselves.also mould was everywhere, for about 4 months no one was cutting the grass and if we didnt park our car there ,lawn would of grown taller than us.
JA: Anything else you want the Lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: We had water bill it didnt match amount we pay to them and the amount they give to us on there statement. And we are owing money according to them.

If you do not agree with the bond deductions you may need to make a claim to the Tenancy Tribunal. You can file a claim online and explain at the hearing that these issues are wrong and the property was not up to standard

It can be an issue if the tenancy agreement said you have to mow the lawns. It is usually the tenants job to mow lawns
