Hi
I am a New Zealand lawyer based in Wellington and will help you with your question today. Please give me a minute to read your question
Customer
Hi Chris, just wondering what action I can take - I don't have the shoes or my money back.

It can be difficult to recover from overseas companies and most find the only thing you can do is to give them a bad review on their site if that is possible. You could bring a claim in the Disputes Tribunal but if they are not in New Zealand you could not enforce this
Customer
I have already given them a bad review, they have blocked me from their site. The shoes were only $70 but because they came from an Auckalnd address, which I have, I just wonder if there anything more I can do
Customer
what about the NZ fair trading act?
img

Chris The Lawyer, Expert

That act only applies to a company in New Zealand
Customer
in your opinion, there's not much more I can do?
img

Chris The Lawyer, Expert

Unfortunately no
Customer
Ok then, I guess I'll cut my losses, but still think they should be made to send the shoes back or refund my money.

Chris The Lawyer, Expert

I agree, it’s the risk of buying online however
Customer
Thanks for your advice, I'll sign off now. Sheryl
