It is always possible to negotiate with the police on charges. You can talk about issues like what is in the summary of facts and whether there are any issues which you need to defend. You can also have a defended facts hearing if you want to plead guilty but don't accept the police version. Normally you would get a discount of 20 to 25% for an early plea of guilty which also helps. An effective lawyer will help you negotiate with the police and present the best possible case.
