Customer: Hi guys. Employment Law - My situation: I was called to a training session for an organisation I am passionate about. I spoke to my boss and she informed me that we can work around this weeks training and she will cover, and to also apply for leave for the following week. I was granted leave for the following week, and my upline would work this weeks schedule and cover. Unfortunately, there was a typo on the email for this weeks training days. Instead of the one day, there was actually two days. The training sessions is out of my home district. I informed my immediate upline and she said she would cover for me. Then covid hit. This did not change the stance of training, however, my real time job had me listed on their roster to be there. My upline told me to inform the store this morning, which I have. My concern is come the working week, I know the HR manager will call me in for a "discussion", about this weeks circumstance. And her interactions, and comments made to other staff makes me extremely uncomfortable, and I tend to react. Based on the situation above, how should I navigate? Previous interactions, I've let her go off. But, I am tired of letting her do this to me. How can I navigate without being destructive in terms of my professional relationship, but at the same time not being a push over?
