Hi
I am a New Zealand lawyer based in Wellington and will help you with your question today. Please give me a minute to read the question

A court fine from another country cannot be enforced in New Zealand. You need to contact EC Credit Control and explain that unless there is a New Zealand court order or judgment, there is no power to enforce a foreign fine or debt in New Zealand. So tell them that they cannot require you to pay, and further that they must not mark this on your credit rating, and confirm that they have not marked this as a default

Customer
Hi Chris,
This EC Credit control, keep hassling me about the fine in Italy.
Ive told them to produce a court order against me or a judgement, no reply to that!
They'v offered me a reduced amount to pay of $156
Should l pay it?
Its actually a scam, Im pretty sure its run by the mafia, when a foreigner goes to Pissa to see the tower, you get these black guys on the street rushing you, then offering to get you a legal car park for you because all the signs are in Italian.
Then 500 Euros for a parking ticket Really??? Arseholes

You are correct in asking for the court order or judgment but they cannot force you to pay. Tell them you have taken legal advice and to stop hassling you

Customer
