Sth Korean friends have moved/rented into a unit which has not been registered, hence, no mail box or rubbish bins

Expert's Assistant chat
Customer: Sth Korean friends have moved/rented into a unit which has not been registered, hence, no mail box or rubbish bins provided as they do not know the number of the street. Who should have done this - the owner - before it went on the market. Also the company/agents already receiving the rent - they should know. Plus friends told the carport was theirs but in fact the tenants in the back unit had the carport. Plus no internet...antenna on the roof...Today is the start of their 4th week, rental payments up to date BUT issues still not sorted.
JA: Because laws vary from place to place, can you tell me what state the property is in?
Customer: St Heliers, Auckland, NZ
JA: What are the terms of the lease? Any issues related to maintenance or upkeep?
Customer: They received a letter last Friday to say next Friday their unit will be checked re cleaning etc. I spoke to a lawyer who said 2 weeks notice must be given.
JA: Anything else you want the Lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: Re TV connection/modem/antenna...3 weeks later and still no action. Kitchen water pipe...my husband went to their aid..They are keeping to all that is required of them plus the cupboard under the stairs was far from clean which they had to do....

They need to prepare a list of all items and give this to the landlord with a request for time to resolve or in the alternative they will go to the Tenancy Tribunal to get a work order and damages. They should check the tenancy agreement to see if the internet and carport are a term however
