I am Anil George currently living in Upperhutt. Actually I need an advice from you regarding my wife's visa. We submitted her partnership-based visitors visa on March 04 this year and waiting till today for it processing. By the way, she got admission in Witt New Plymouth for Competency Assessment programme (nurse ). The programme will commence on January 20th. Hence, we are in a confused stage weather we want to withdraw our application and apply a special category visitors visa to do the programme. Actually, we are getting vivid opinion from all the corners. Could you help us to sort this out?.Waiting to hear from you

I am 25 weeks pregnant and work as an electrician apprentice so end up doing all the hard crappy jobs like crawling under floors in tight spaces, heavy lifting like outdoor heatpumps (not daily), crawling in ceiling spaces which can also be twice the temperature outside, working up the top of 2 story high ladders and working on construction sights and unsafe buildings. My problem is that I dont know where I stand with finishing at work. My work colleagues wont let me not do some of the lighter duties and are rather ruthless when helping and put a lot of strain on my body as I have sciatic pain and a pulled muscle in upper ribs/back what am I entitled too if I leave before my employer chooses it's time for me to leave and will this affect my maternity pay etc
JA: Have you discussed this workplace safety issue with a manager or HR? Or with a lawyer?
Customer: My boss is aware of the dangers but is also short staffed. There is not any light duties at the workplace. I have not spoken to a lawyer as I am unaware who i can actually contact about this
JA: Are you an "at will" employee? Do you belong to a union?
Customer: No only a small business, and I dont know what "at will" means?

Customer: I haven't been able to be at work for about 3 weeks already due to the nature of the work, back pain, sciatica and exhaustion as we often work alot later than the finish time.

Customer: The trust fund was set up in New Zealand and my fiance lives in Texas

Customer: Emails from the bank holding the trust fund and an attorney we hired for the process.

Customer: Can a trust be set up contingent on the family member has to be married for the transfer to occur.

While the wait period was happening apparently they found multiple accounts under my name and voided the winnings but agreed to pay me back my deposits in good faith please help as I know I don’t have any other accounts they didn’t send any proof regarding these accounts and I screenshot a conversation with their help desk asking them if I had other accounts and he said No and that I could get my winnings , they wanted all of my IDs I had to prove it was me so I sent everything but then someone emailed back again saying they found another 8 accounts it seems ridiculous now I just want legal help now.

Hi. I have been married for a little over 6 and a half years, and have 3 children. My husband has been mentally and emotionally abusing me throughout our relationship, and I have finally decided it's time to get out. Part of the abuse though has involved him taking control of all our money and spending it all, keeping me locked out of some accounts and running up thousands of dollars of debt in secret which means I have no money to fall back on as I am also a stay at home parent. I want to be able to keep the house we own together for the sake of our children, but I have no idea what my rights are in terms of getting him to leave. I know he won't go quietly, as he has said many times that if I ever leave him, he will kill himself.
JA: Was the home purchased during the marriage?
Customer: Yes, it was purchased around 3 years ago. And then a second mortgage was taken out on it around the start of this year to consolidate some of the debt.
JA: Were any marital funds used for the mortgage or property improvements?
Customer: We both contributed to the deposit from personal retirement funds, and then the mortgage has been paid from our joint bank account using his salary

Customer: Umm, yes actually. We still have multiple loans and credit cards that we're paying off, would they become my responsibilty if we were to seperate?

i went to an job interview they were happy in hiring me and were looking to start me the following day they were emailing me out an proposal agreement that afternoon for me to read all of a sudden im geting calls from extra staff that they have negotiated a hourly wage and i couldnt start work till i had gone in to their office and sign up with extra staff. i dont know who they were or what was going on the problem was i was on the way to to see them about a job on my own accord when she called me 922am i told her what i was doing as i was only 5 minutes away she advised me not to attend untill she called me back which she did 9.29am and told me to carry on to meet them and to call her back 9.30am im sent the address 10.18am i call her back to tell her im waiting on a proposal to be email to me and she couldnt believe what had happen and said she was going to call them. 10.23am she calling me demanding i cant start with and wants me to start the following monday i said no i want to start straight away i do not want to wait,she then wanted me to come down to her office to sign papers and take a drug test and that i will be getting $29.50 which was not was talked about at my interview as im waiting for the proposal to be emailed at no point did i ask or give her permission to speak on my behalf. because of this it set off alarm bells i ask her do i still have a job her answer was yes she then called me later that day and told me that they had decline my application for the job and that had got someone else that was more suited for the job i called the general manager and was told by these accusations were false that they still wanted me and that the problem was with extra staff and not me that they had blown the situation up and they were trying to sort it out with them for me they were trying to make money off me for doing nothing as a result of their interference i no longer have a job can you help me thanks David Tutara

It seems that for transparency, we should probably remind her (in writing) of our diplomatic status and that I have official travel orders to return that require breaking the lease 6 weeks early. I would also convey that her current approach to raise the rent and "upgrade" to tenants that are only professional couples with no kids and no pets limits her ability to rerent in a timely manner. She cannot expect to hold us financially liable for this. Does this sound like the best approach? I'm trying not to escalate the situation further but feel we need to document.

Hi I have problem with my landloard requirement. We rent a house 2 weeks ago from Barfood. And the advertisement said pets available (not negotiable). And the hosue is with a big backyard. That's why I decided to rent this house because I always wanna have dog. During we first viewing the house, I double checked it is OK for pets as long as I informed them in advance.

Customer: I adopted a dog(Husky) and would pick her up on 27th Nov. I told the agency today. And she contacted the landlord then landlord said he did not allow a big dog. It is from Barfoot thanks

Customer: We are trying to find someone that can assist us with our immigration case. We are unlawful at the moment here in NZ. Our visa have expired in June and we are currently without any valid visa now, we had tried applying for another visa but it was unsuccessful.

Customer: I am james samuel joined driving uber as a uber partner on 29 july this year upon completation of my document ,like uploading my driver licence and p-endosement like as per requirement of uber and they issued my TSL no and i started my job and completed near about 995 trips .Two week before i upgraded my licence to class 2 L and issued new version and when i tried to upload my new version it keep saying that document is ineffective and showing that your deiver lincence is not 1 year old as per uber policy,and when i tried to sort out with special documentation team they told me the same that you have got 7 month old licence not 12 month they said it was approved by mistake beforebut now the system not procedding my concern here is that its not my fault whey they havent told me before and now they said i cant drive with uber as a driver,please advie me needfully.

Hi there, I have been trying to get clarity about how the law views written notice to end a signed agreement. The reason is another party is claiming they sent a txt on their phone to me ( I did not receive it ) and that they were informed that it is an acceptable form of written notice. The original agreement is about 2 - 3 pages and was signed by us both. This agreement was definately treated like a binding document. Do you know what the law would view " written notice "? Thank you

Customer: It's an agreement between myself and an ex flat mate, however it doesn't come under tenancy laws because only a tenancy agreement that includes a tenant and landlord can be counted under them.
