JA: Are you overseas or stateside?
Customer: I am stateside
JA: Have you talked to a JAG attorney about this? Or anyone in the chain of command?
Customer: No not yet. I’ve been on bed rest for almost 2 weeks now due to an upper respiratory infection and asthma
JA: Is there anything else the Lawyer should know before I connect you? Rest assured that they'll be able to help you.

Hi my name is ***** ***** I'm the attorney who will be assisting you. If you need a discharge do to asthma and infection from the military then it would be a medical discharge which is an honorable discharge. I'm assuming there are no other disciplinary actions which might cause problems but simply the medical reasons for discharge.
Customer
Okay thank you. I’ve been trying to do some research and haven’t gotten a lot of answers. I was wanting to know if it is possible to switch to reserve or come back as a military contractor if I am medically discharged?

It should be possible because as you say it's still an honorable discharge. However you may have to go through an examination with their doctors to prove that you are fit for duty if you get a discharge based on medical reasons.

Customer
Okay thank you!
