I have read your post and I am sorry to hear you are having to deal with this situation as I realize it can be frustrating and confusing.

This is a very common scam we see dozens of times a week... Someone chats with someone who is supposed to be of age, then they claim to be a minor and shortly thereafter the "parent" contacts the target and threatens to call police unless they pay money for.... a broken phone,... therapy... a plane ticket to grandma's... a smashed monitor... whatever.

It is always a scam. And these are just criminal scammers trying to scare you into giving them money.

So there is virtually zero chance this is legitimate and I would opine you have nothing to be concerned about.
