Oh ok, got it. So is she requesting something specific most recently? What is it they want to do now? This will dictate what you do next.

Customer
she wants the order. Hanged and something done about my wife making all the decisions and she wants to make the decisions. But the house is in my eyes name it's a VA. Loan and states in loan not marital property so legally she can't make decisions over here neither can I. But judge not aware it's a va laon and not marital property. But my ex wants the order changed and so judge set for pretrial and.trial to deal with it and time foe us to get lawyers.to battle it.out

Ok, thanks!

So a few things to consider:

1. Sadly, JAG officers don't represent service members in court;

2. One thing to keep in mind is that the court relies on the best interests of the children standard. This means that the court will concern itself with which person involved will best care for the child's health, welfare, and education, whether there are issues of abuse, and the relationship of the child to the parties, The court will typically see through parties are looking to punish the other party. This also means that sometimes these things can get ugly because each party has to try to prove why they would be worthy of custody or visitation and why the other party may not. This will be helpful to always keep in mind;

3. The court has the final decision-making authority;

4. This will end eventually; and

5. You can find a family law attorney locally.

I don’t have any specific contacts; however, I can do the next best thing.

One thing I recommend is going through your state’s lawyer referral service (LRS). The LRS typically only lists experienced attorneys who have adequate staffing to assist people.

Yelp.com is a surprisingly good place to find lawyers.

You can check out find.lawyer.com - Lawyer.com Free Consultation Lawyer Form - JustAnswer

You can also find a lawyer on the Legal Services Corporation website. The LSC is an independent non-profit organization authorized by Congress in 1974 to help people find legal aid services (https://www.lsc.gov/what-legal-aid/find-legal-aid).

Sometimes, the local law schools can provide free legal assistance, too.

You can also return to this site and ask questions to me as you go through this process to keep your costs down.

Did you have any other questions for me today?

Customer
9thsee the lawyers here want 3.000 down and we do not have that. That's why I am asking for vetern or military help. I can not afford it and she keeps filing every year 3-4 months apart and we financially can not afford to keep paying for a lawyer. So how do I get a lawyer with vetern discount or military discount if the military can not help me as a vet that is 100% disabled???
Customer
Some of ur message was cut off

I hear you! So the hard part is that military discounts can be hard to come by, mostly because lawyers tend to be greedy.

My recommendation/ Try out those sites I recommended.

I'm so sorry to hear about your situation!

But never fear - about 80% of people in family court are self-represented.

Also, remember, this person's actions make them look worse and worse each time they go to court.

Customer
It's been going.on since.2010 and she has not stopped.judge won't sanction her or make her stop. At this point.it is just harassment. And no o e will make her stop 11 yrs and she still doing.it

I hear you! I'm sorry to hear about that. I knew more about the case. If you'd like, you can always request a call for more specific answers.

So if you're texting like through your regular texting app on your phone or tablet, the system can't send a call request through there. You'd just have to go to justanswer.com and log on. There, you'll see our question thread, and you can see my call request there on the site itself.
