I am so sorry you are having issues with the current owner of the property.  Do you have copies of your proof of payments?

Ok good.  Have you presented the owner the poof of payments?

Your first step is to send a letter to the property owner and include an outline of all of your payments plus copies of proof of the payments.  You want to mail the letter certified so that you have proof of delivery and receipt.

If the property owner still refuses to accept proof of your payments then you will need to file a small claim complaint and allege breach of contract.  You will be asking for a court order that states all of the payments you have made and what the true outstanding balance is to satisfy the remaining debt.
