There is a three year statute of limitations for intentional infliction of emotional distress in Connecticut. For negligent infliction of emotional distress, the statute of limitations is two years.

Customer
if its been six years I can't do anything?

Unfortunately, no, you would not be eligible to file a civil lawsuit.

Customer
But what if I was a minor and couldn't do anything or wasn't mentally capable of doing anything within those years?

Unfortunately, you are still outside the exception that is sometimes granted. Courts will typically allow people to bring suits that they couldn't bring when they were minors, but the statute of limitations begins running when they turn 18. So, that extension would have expired when you were 21.

Customer
Back then I was 15 or 16 when the stuff happened, so thinking of suing him wasn't even in my mind
