I have an overgrown tree blocking access to the garage. During covid the landlord was not able to have this tree removed

Customer: Hi, I have an overgrown tree blocking access to the garage. During covid the landlord was not able to have this tree removed as per my request (they were going to arrange this). Now that covid restrictions have lifted I again sent a reminder however today I was told the landlord will not be removing the tree due to her work situation and is not able to assist. I was told to have the tree trimmed. The cost due to the size of the tree which is now grown over the garage and almost covering the entrance will be enormous. What are my options? Should the landlord be responsible? She the landlord at least offer to pay half?

Customer: I am required to maintain the front and back gardens which I do have the grass cut and shrubs trimmed. But the tree is not planted in a spot thats ideal and not the type of tree for infront of the garage and so close to the entrance
