Customer: My wife and I went to Coles two weeks ago and she asked for an Optus phone recharge for $30.00 The Lady at the till gave her a Teslstra recharge, But it was not until we got home and looked at it in detail that we realised she had made a mistake. We went strait back but they would not give a refund and told us to contact their customer service dept. We Have been trying to speak to them a number of times but they say that it is a problem between them an Telstra. We had to by the Optus recharge the same day for an additional $30. Don't we have rights to recieve a refund regardless.
JA: What state is this in? And just to clarify, when was the purchase made?
Customer: It was in the State of Victoria, and the Coles store in in Pinewood Mt Waverley. The purchase was made on 12/6.
JA: Have you contacted the seller or manufacturer?
Customer: The seller was coles, it was just a rechrge.
JA: Is there anything else the Lawyer should know before I connect you? Rest assured that they'll be able to help you.
Customer: Because they made the mistake, I thought that we should immediately recieve the $30 back

Hi! My name is***** a solicitor in Australia, and I’m happy to help you.

I suggest you issue written correspondence to the company explaining the problem and request a response within 72 hours.

Once a company receives a written response, it will act quickly.

Many people around Australia are having the same issue.

You can issue the complaint on the company's website. You may also send correspondence by Express Post to the head office.

If no reply is received, then commence proceedings in the local tribunal.

You can sue for compensation.

You do not need a lawyer to apply with the tribunal, and you can run the case yourself.

Have I answered your question? If any part of my response is unclear, please let me know. It’s my goal to deliver excellent service, so please let me know if there is anything more I can do. Thank you for using our site.
