I am sorry to hear of this difficult situation.

Are child protective services involved? Can you afford a lawyer?

Customer

Why can't the mother apply for sole custody instead of you?

Customer
He had everyone at court convinced that she was crazy etc. At the time her psych evaluations said she was stable etc. And she has spent up until May having supervised visits with all of her children and if she happened to not do what he wanted or she went on a date he would cancel these visits. She went a long time without seeing her kids....then around may she went to "babysit" for him so he could go to work and he is a loser he can't keep a job. We warned her not to.....all of a sudden next court date she was granted 30 day and 30 day custody.....I then learned that while she was there he raped her and that is how she got half and half custody because she threatened him.
Again bring in child protective services, I have the texts, I was told to let her know when there were issues instead of after the fact, because they have actually told me I was lying about what was going on . So being concerned for my daughter's welfare I called and let them know she was there with him and staying there. Nothing come of this. I documented it because I know who this guy is and he scares the hell out of me when he is on drugs... My husband was in with his mom when she took her last breath as he was too screwed up on meth......we do know this man....closely.

This is a terrible situation but the bot***** *****ne is if your daughter cannot get custody then you most assuredly should retain your own family lawyer at this point before the child is irreparably harmed. There is a super abundance of highly compelling evidence that the father is harming the child.

What you can do to find a lawyer is one of the following things.

You can contact the Law Society and use their Lawyer Referral Service. You will be given the name of a lawyer and can consult with the lawyer and the first half hour will be free.

The number is:

1-***-***-**** or
***-***-**** in Calgary

Or you can check on a site called lexpert. This is a legal directory of leading lawyers and law firms throughout Canada and is well-respected by the legal community.

Here's the link to their website:

http://www.lexpert.ca/directory/find-lawyers-or-law-firms/

Does that help as a starting point?

Please feel free to post back with any follow-up questions you may have. If you don't have any then I hope I have earned a 5 star rating but if you don't feel that I have please don't hesitate to reply back and let me know what more I can do to assist you. Finally, please know that even after you rate me I will be here for you and you can ask follow-up questions if you think of them later on at no further charge of course.

Ask a lawyer and get your legal questions answered.
