Expert's Assistant chat
Customer: I got evicted from my apartment. I went to court and the judge said in Colorado, there is a separation between eviction and payment even though the apartment returned payment to me, i was still forced to move The apartment never contacted me about payment and all of the sudden today, I get a phone call that I owe them almost 10k
JA: What are the terms of the lease? Any issues related to maintenance or upkeep?
Customer: They have no elevators but no it was strictly a payment issue they lost a cashiers check i gave them which i proved and then they tried to over charge me rent i paid only what i owed and they returned it, after they filed for eviction
JA: Because laws vary from place to place, can you tell me what state the property is in?
Customer: Colorado
JA: Anything else you want the Lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: nope

My eviction court date was 9/18/2019. I was ordered to move out or to pay the court and be in a holding pattern until by the end of the month. I moved out on 9/30/19. And then today I received a phone call that I owed some 9,000 plus dollars. No written notice.
