Sorry for the delay. Luckily, you could do either, or just have someone checking your mail on a regular basis where you forward it to. It may take more than a few months for the biometrics on an I-751. What else may I answer for you?

You don't have a neighbor you trust or a family member you trust that can pick up the mail for you?

What address could you use? And when does your 2 year green card expire? And what date will you come back to the U.S.?

Are you traveling with your spouse?

And what date will you be back at a regular address living with your spouse?

Well, I would wait to file until January 20th or so, and then hopefully by a month or two you will be able to have a stable location, but perhaps until then you can use a PO Box or something like that. Or in the end, maybe you will need to file late and explain what your personal emergency was that you could not be stable at one address until after the green card expired.
