I have some questions about government benefits (health insurance) in state of Ohio, in relation to ongoing green card

Customer: I have some questions about government benefits (health insurance) in state of Ohio, in relation to ongoing green card application. To be very specific, I'm looking for recommendations for decent health insurance sources in Ohio that aren't considered "federal aid" is relation to green card process. (I.e., medicaid in Ohio would appear to be considered federal aid, and would disrupt green card process, if applied for by the green card recipient)

I am sorry that you are having to deal with this situation.

Generally speaking, the answer is: as long as health insurance sources that you want to have is not subsidized by federal or state fund, you are good as far as green card application is concerned.

Does what I’ve explained here make sense to you? If not, please ask for any clarification that you’d like. I am happy to continue working with you until you completely understand how the law treats your situation.
