He should if he is being instructed to. This is sometimes how they catch any potential mistakes or errors that they may have made in regards ***** ***** granted the green card status previously.

Hello sir. That's why I am asking youThe instructions seem to indicate that for the initial n400 submission to provide any past divorce decrees for the applicant. They also appear to state he just needs to bring his spouses divorce decree to the interview. However it is not very clear. It is page 3 of the n400 instructions.

Where exactly on page 3? I see on pages 10 to 14 where they list everything, but don't see it on page 3.

Customer
On pg 3 was what they want for the n400 initial filing.

I still don't understand where you are reading. Please make sure you are using the most updated form and instructions:

Application for Naturalization | USCIS

Customer
Sorry you were right . Pg 10 of instructions #3.Is it correct that for filing he only needs to provide current marriage certificate and not divorce decree of his wifes prior marriage (he has no prior marriages)? It seems to say bring wifes divorce decree to interview but only current MC at initial filing is needed.

How did he get his green card originally?

Customer
It says P22 on his GC.

Ok. That's child of an LPR. So if that is how he got his green card and he has had his green card status for more than 4 years and 9 months, I wouldn't worry about the divorce certificate of the current or previous spouse. It isn't really relevant. Take it with him to the interview if he likes, but I don't see why that would come uo.
