Keep in mind that basic child support is calculated based on the combined gross income of both parents and is allocated based on each parent's proportionate share of the combined parental income for child support. Minn. Stat. § 518A.You may check out the statute to learn more about how the court determines the support.

Yes, a lawyer may help you out if you can afford one

Customer

You may want to look for pro bono assistance

It really all comes down to your income

Customer
Well he is a union worker and we started a painting business, in my name, but he did all of the labor. He makes like $50 per hour. I make roughly $22.15/ hour
Customer
He makes almost twice as much as I do per hour but health insurance is included in that, for myself and out 2 girls

If he makes more than you then you must inform the judge and provide valid evidence

Customer
Do you know if there is a website we can use to print out own divorce papers so neither of us has to get a lawyer? I know I can’t agree it and I don’t think he can either. Can we just file on our own and have a judge sign it?
