Expert's Assistant chat
Customer: I'm trying to figure out where I need to file for emergency custody. I live in Arkansas and my daughter is in Arizona. And just want to know my rights. I need to get her out of there adap
JA: Has an emergency custody motion been filed?
Customer: No
JA: When did this happen exactly? Have the police been involved?
Customer: My ex hasn't let me see or talk to my daughter for the last seven yrs. My sister just found her and she's 16 going to be 17 and has told us her mom pulled her out of school in the fourth grade and she is working 2 jobs her mom makes her pay a 1000.00 a month to live at her house and makes my daughter pay all the bills also. And she's mentioned physical abuse in the past by her mom and mom's friends. I just found all this out last night. And need help
JA: Is there anything else the Lawyer should know before I connect you? Rest assured that they'll be able to help you.
Customer: Not that I can think of

Elizabeth, Expert

You would have to file in AZ, since that's where your child is. If she's being abused, you can also bring CPS into it.

Customer
she's 16 turning 17 in oct. if she got on a plane and flew out to me. could I get charged with custodial interference.

Elizabeth, Expert
