Hello. This is Jim and I've been an attorney for over 35 years.
Just so you are aware, JA is only a legal information site. I do not provide representation and no attorney-client relationship is formed. My answers and comments should not be considered legal advice. It is always best to hire a local attorney to review the specifics of your particular case to ensure that a proper review is conducted.
Finally, it's not unusual for me to be handling multiple customer needs simultaneously; there may be a delay of a few minutes in my responses to your replies.

f family member doesn't serve, typically the court will appoint a lawyer or accountant from the local community. While the professional personal representative's fees are reviewed and approved by the court, they are still at prevailing rates in your community; in my experience the range is $200-$400 per hour.

I's up to the professional judgment of the executor, and depends on the needs of the estate, and again is subject to review and approval by the judge.
