It is hard to see what specific denial it was based on since it was just a check on the form but, as I stated earlier, they are typically denied on the basis that there are no religious leader giving an affidavit as to why it violates the tenants of your religion and that they can attest to your religious devotion to that tenet.

Ok. I am not sure that helps your case since they would deny all religious exemptions if they were discriminating based on religion. Do you have have an idea why you were singled out?

Are you over the age of forty?

Were the other employees that received the exemption under the age of forty?

Ok. There may have been a claim for age discrimination, but it doesn't sound as likely if they were over the age of 40 as well.
