Thank you so much for your patience! I had a bit of an emergency on my end!

In MOST cases - unless the employer has a policy that states otherwise - bonuses (if they're given at all) have to be paid out only if the employee is still working for the company at the time the bonus is paid.

Do you know if your employer has a different policy?

Customer
I accrued the Bonus every month is the only policy I know
Customer
I was let go 2 weeks shy of my year anniversary which is the policy

Olivia, Expert

So, basically, I would get a hold of the policy.

Generally bonuses are discretionary.

You wouldn't typically 'accrue' a bonus.

Olivia, Expert

An employer determines if an employee meets the requirements for a bonus... whatever their criteria is.

If, however, your employer has some sort of accrual policy, that would be different... and unusual.
