Customer: I have a question about a job that I am interested in pursuing. It is a contract position with a large Chinese pharmaceutical company where I get paid $60,000 a year + 5% commissions. The job is basically to be a representative, accounts receivable.
JA: Are you hourly or salaried? How many hours do you work each week?
Customer: My currrent job is salaried and this part-time job is also salaried plus comission
JA: Where are you located? Wage-and-hour laws vary by state.
Customer: Germantown. MD
JA: Is there anything else the Lawyer should know before I connect you? Rest assured that they'll be able to help you.
Customer: This is a work at home part-time position. I would like to know how this type of role works when I accept payments on the compony's behalf? Also, they will be sending me an employment contract. I would like to know what are the things I need to look for in the contract.

To be clear, the position involves you accepting money for the company?

This smacks of a scam.  Legit companies would not need you to accept payments for them.  They have that set up including accounting and finance departments.  I am sorry to be bearer of bad news. Sometimes I have to deliver bad news where the law is not favorable. I hope you appreciate that and not hold it against me. I owe it to you to answer truthfully even if the news is not good news.

Customer
an accounts receivable representative in North America would not be needed for a large Chinese pharmaceutical company?
