Hi Doug. I am a Clinical Social Worker, with my own practice. I have been working with a family going through a divorce. They are back in court. I have a release from mom to work with her and her kids. But failed to get a signature from dad. Due to the nature of the conflict between them and my support of mom more so than dad (who I wrote a statement indicating his culpability) I believe he may sue me for not having had him sign releases. I made a mistake and thought having one guardian sign off was sufficient. I'm nervous about it. My record is totally clean. No prior issues.
