Expert's Assistant chat
Customer: My son has been verbally and verbally abused at school for over a year. The school is aware and now won't even talk with us. He was told by the school that they will handle things and he is not to talk with his parents about what happens at school.
JA: What state is your son in? It matters because laws vary by location.
Customer: Butler County, Pa
JA: Has he tried anything so far that has helped or clarified the issue?
Customer: I have sent certified letters to each school board members, met with Principals and Supt. They will not tell me the person(S) doing this and the punishment they did. Many acts they admit are on security cameras.
JA: Is there anything else the Lawyer should know before I connect you? Rest assured that they'll be able to help you.
Customer: This is making me physically sick. My son has changed in so many ways. He is turning into a punk and someone that I am afraid for.

Hello! Thanks for using JustAnswer. My name is ***** ***** I am an attorney ready to answer your questions with top-quality service. Just a few quick things before we get started:

  • I’m sorry to hear you are having these problems with your legal issue. I know that can be frustrating. However, we can get this resolved quickly;
  • I will respond as quickly as I can, but there may be an occasional delay. With that said...

Who is abusing him? Teachers? Someone else?

Customer
Thank-you. Fellow students. We home school him but Aidan and his twin sister are very active in sports there.
Customer
He is called N*****, porch monkey, the school's big n****. He got a concussion on Monday and they say he fell in the shower. He was grabbed as he entered the building and a finger gun was held to his head and, "Try me now you little bitch."
Customer
Anyone there or should I go? Can you email me at:***@******.***?

Does he know who is doing this?

What has the administration said they plan on doing about this?

Customer
They will tell me nothing.They told me I was not allowed to contact them so my husband called today. They called to say they will not talk with us per their lawyer. I called our lawyer but she is out of town. I asked if we could talk like civilized adults and find a solution but they said contact my lawyer. My son said two days ago that it is still going on but he will handle it on the field. I don't want anyone hurt but he can only take so much. They tell my kids they need to feel sorry for people who do these things but ( heard this myself at meeting. ) I have filled a complaint with the Federal Ed. Dept but are still waiting.
Customer
Nothing is come of this either. Have a wonderful evening. Again, please cancel my membership now.

So I haven't heard back from you in a while on this, which is no big deal!
Without the information I asked for, I can only give you a general answer.

Thanks so much for coming to the site. I'm sorry to hear about your situation about what's going on with your son.
I don't see a specific question; however, I believe I can help with guidance.
The school is required to have an anti-bullying policy.
If they fail to honor the policy, you can sue them for a violation of the policy.
What this means is you could:
1. File a complaint with the school;
2. File a complaint with the district;
3. File a complaint with the state department of education;
4. Sue in district court for the violation.
In all instances, you can ask that the policy be properly enforced against this student, including having them do whatever it takes to protect your child from bullying and harassment

Please let me know if this has answered your question fully. My goal is to ensure you’re satisfied with my service completely.
