I am looking for a public defender for Chester county. It's on Jan 30 th but I just got the papers Saturday.

Good, thank you for asking and I am sorry to hear about the criminal case and know you are concerned. Are you a first time offender? What was the basis for the suspension?

Can you obtain a license?

It is an issue and when you appear in court, can ask for the services of the public defender. As far as jail, if you are a first-time offender, I do not see why they would look for jail but probation could be more likely. If you are charged formally, the officer cannot just drop the case at this time and that would be at the discretion of the prosecutor and likely a result, if you coming in with a valid license and curing any other issues.
