My brother is getting a divorce in California. The divorce petition has already been filed, so he's subject to the standard automatic temporary restraining order (ATRO). He gave notice on the rental property where his wife is living. It's a month-to-month agreement. I'm wondering if this is a violation of the ATRO.

Customer: No abuse. The divorce petition was filed in July. He moved out in June. The reason for giving notice now is that he is literally out of money. He can pay the temporary support payment, but he cannot pay more towards her rent. He's worried about being on the month-to-month agreement and being responsible for her rent as well as his own.

Customer: No, it's not that kind of restraining order. It's a financial restraining order that's always used in divorce cases. It prohibits both parties from making certain kinds of financial transactions.

Hi - I am a home owner in Colorado. I am 63 years old and work at home. Last summer the police began harassing me because neighbors told them I was mentally ill and mean. They also told police I said my neighbor was a child abuser. When the police came to my door they presented a note saying I was mentally ill and police told me I was the problem. Police said awful stuff to me and held a mock trial on my doorstep. The neighbor told police she was getting a permanent restraining order on me. I am single, live along and work remotely for a major medical device company. My neighbors have been a problem for me for 25 years. I cannot sell my home right now and move because getting a loan for a home is difficult given interest rates. Nothing happened so far; now its winter however when spring comes it will start up again. I cannot find a lawyer to represent me but I am considering going to the judge myself. I have security cameras with audio and video tapes as well as pictures and documentation regarding the incidents. My neighbors are evil and are trying to cause harm to me.

Customer: No charges filed by myself or others

Customer: Yes briefly they told me to not lose sleep over this because they will never get a permanent restraining order. I received only proprietary advice and nobody has taken my case.

Hello, I am exhausted at this point, so i will try to make this brief. I am have a civil case which I have not yet been served, I was not there and they have not come back but I did pick up complaint and have tried to find server It is by someone who had beaten me up, for last two years. I had a restraining order on tpo and once he expired he tried to serve me

Everyone I talk to really does not want to touch this case? I am saying it all

Hello, My name is***** am from Charleston SC but I live in Lorton VA now . I am a proud owner of CCW permit in VA but I'm being denied the sale of a firearm. I contacted the VA state police and they are saying it's something from SC. Having a hard time figuring this out . Also they said it from 2001 I was 16yrs old then. Can you please help

Hello. A cop showed up at my house and said a lady called and said she wanted to press charges on me because I supposedly pulled out in front of her at some point. I don’t recall doing this. But they wrote me a ticket for CNI. Then the cops gave me an invalid court date twice. Just curious on what I can do? I’m a single mom and not working right now because my newborn is disabled. Just trying to see what the options are.

My husband has the same cop being called each time he is pulled over. Hi, I was living with my girlfriend who owns her house. She’s also in the military she ended up, assaulting me and throwing me out and would not let me go in back to get my things. I got a police officer coming to try to let me still stay there, but she refused. I try to reason with her and she wouldn’t so I filed assault charge on her in return she put a restraining order on me. This is my first time dealing with this past actuation I don’t know what I’m doing.

My brothers truck had been stolen . Fremont P.D. found it and released the investigation with my brothers consent . He's out of the country right now . Thing is the tow company wont release the vehicle even though the P.D. has !!! Is that legal to keep our property held there ?

Soo I've been in an abusive relationship and have been trying to end it but he keeps breaking into my home and violating the no contact order I have. With him being a confidential informant for the local police department the local cops have not been doing anything about it, they show up make him leave and a week later he's right back abusing me, rapping me, and breaking me mentally. The local cops are not helping and the state police said they can't come to my borough. I know this isn't a family law question but im out of options and any help would be greatly appreciated
