Purchased vehicle in 2003. Vehicle was never registered. I mistakenly destroyed bill of sale. Due to age of vehicle dealership does not keep records that far back and is therefore unable to provide another bill of sale. The DMV Indicated i could go to court and ask a judge to grant an order for the state to issue a title to the Vehicle. the Dealer had issued a letter to me indicating the purchase date of the vehicle along with the vin # and also indicated in the letter that they were not able to provide a bill of sale due to the age of the vehicle. I wanted to take this letter and ask the court to grant an order requesting the state of florida to issue a Title. My question is what is the heading of the document i would use to make the request. Would it be a " MOTION REQUEST FOR A HEARING". I need to figure out the correct Document to initiate tthe Hearing or Order

Hi Ellen, It is legal to place a camera in the workplace? It is one large room with 8 desks in an open area. It is a Nest Camera and I would place it on top of the book case overlooking the room. I can pay Nest monthly to record so I can look at it later. Please advise.

One is coming next week and I want to record the conversation, which is the reason for having a Nest Camera to record everything. Just want to make sure it is legal. The supermarket has cameras, casino's have camera's. But this is my first time with one in our office and want to make sure that if I record a client that I can use it if needed in the future.

My friend is a felon and has been out the system for a year now. He was in his friends car which had a weapon. The police ended up arresting him and not his friend since he is a convicted felon. He now has a charge for possession of weapon or ammunition. Can he fight this and what is the expected years he can do?

Does the State put a lien on a property if the owner is a medi cal patient and dies, in order to recoup the cost of their medical treatment? she is also a medicare patient....she wanted to will the mobile home to me, her housemate, but my dad told me not to accept it....

Customer: no...no such issues....i rent the master bedroom in the home she inherited from her mother who died 2 years before i moved in....i'm 60 and still work outside the home, and help with housework she cant do anymore...ive been here 7 years.

Hi, I was arrested for "evading a taxi fare" in RI. I merelt disputed the amount with the taxi driver because he quoted me $20 and attempted to charge me $55. It was around midnight and me and my friend had a few drinks ( hence why we took a taxi) and I believed at the time he was trying to take advantage of us and the situation- quite literally highway robbery. I never once tried to leave the scene and welcomed the police to come when the driver threatened to call them. I had more than than adequate funds to cover the fare 100x over. what should I do?

I have a Chinese lady friend who's a beautician (Aesthetician). She's an immigrant from China a few years ago. In China, she was also Aesthetician who had training in performing collagen injections on her Chinese lady customers. At that time, China had no legal regulations or formal licensing, so she was able to do this freely. She says she was very skilled. Now that she's here, she's looking into getting the proper license to be able to perform this service here in Texas. Her question is this: What laws govern the purchase and possession of the tools and materials for collagen injection services? The tools would include special syringes, needles, collagen material, etc.; everything needed to perform the service correctly and safely. If she were to purchase these things before she gets the proper licensing for actually performing the service, but does not perform the service, what laws (if any) would she be violating? If it is a violation, what degree of violation would it be and what would be the typical sentencing for such a violation?

If I was charged with sexual assault and the minor was at least 16 years old, they consented then in the 90s for sex, but now that they are of legal age, I wont give them money or a relationship, they want to charge me with sexual assault. Hello, i have a DV Restraining Order put on me that i have to go to court for, but the "victim" states cops were called on 4/9/19. she noted a complete lie as to what happened that night. If she in fact called the cops wouldn't they have come to me?

Hello, I have a question regarding domestic violence My friend who lives in Michigan recently was taken to jail for domescic violence After 48 hours he was released from jail by bond On the next day he went to the court and judge said the next hearing or court appearance date will be informed by mail. But till then he can't move out side of the state

I have a criminal legal question. My daughter was arrested on a mis. marijuana possession charge. They are holding her and state they have to transfer her to the county were the offense occurred. Can we get her out? What can we do. She got the arrant sue to failure to appear but she did not know she had a court date because she no longer resided at the location where they sent the info.

This is a new thread but somewhat refers to the previous question asked on my criminal case.
Two questions:
1. What is the term of my registration in Illinois. Or is the registration terms dictated by California? My conviction was in California but I am a resident of Illinois since 2008
2. Polygraph is a requirement here in my county in Illinois. Taking polygraph is a rule of this county. But all along, I have failed my polygraph. How does this affect my probation and it's report at the end of my probation term? Can the polygraph results be used in court?
