Customer: I recently went to a car lot with my father as my co signer the car sales man told us he only needed my father's good credit and nothing more to be a cosigner. He told us I was approved with 2000 down I transfered the car to my insurance sign papers gave the money then they told us we need social security cards n bank statements my father doesn't have a social security card I ask why would u wait to tell us all this after papers are signed. My father's has to apply for a card but with covid 19 most government agencies are not open . They are not understanding . They only gave us transport tags for 4 days . I went back they then told me they hadn't sent my loan papers to lender I don't have a loan it's a pre approval and they cant move forward without my father's social security card which we cant get a replacement until they send it .is this legal can I give them this car back which I got 6/6/20 and get my $2000 I don't really have a loan
