I lost my ob in February 2020 - I live with and am part-time caregiver for my daughter who has cancer and has been undergoing Chemotherapy treatments also since February 2020. I have been using all my credit cards to "stay afloat" using credit cards for payments to other cards, groceries, health care and personal needs, etc. I have about 10 credit cards and total debt is about $100,000. I have Ford Salaried Pension and Social Security that total about $5,000 per month, but I am "drowning in debt," right now. I pay rent to my son-in-law and daughter, who also have their own financial issues (including medical expenses for both of them). I'm not sure what to do...Can you provide guidance? JA: What state are you in? It matters because laws vary by location.
Customer: I live in Oakland County with my daughter and son-in-law, so I do not have a mortgage, just way too much credit card debt.
JA: What steps have you taken so far?
Customer: Novi, Michigan in Oakland County. No steps...just making minimum payments on cards, but interest is HUGE and negates the payment every month.

Customer: I cannot think of anything else...I'm just reluctant to file Bankruptcy, and hope there is another way to resolve the problem directly with credit card issuers. The recent interest rate hikes have been brutal - Once of my cards charged nearly $500 in interest last month on $27,000 balance. I made $753 payment but that amount on just one card is impossible to maintain on a regular basis, since there are so many others...Thank you for your assistance.
I was traveling upon a delta airlines flight to Detroit. Delta has assigned seating. Upon approaching my assigned seat a white woman with three small children occupied the entire 3 seats. I alerted a flight attendant immediately (white) who initially told the woman she must move to her assigned seating where she replied “a woman up there seated said it was okay for she had a seat in the 3 seated row and she can have the seating not disrupting her family “. The attendant was alerted that other people weren’t sitting within their assigned seating due to this incursion. An Asian attendant then ordered me to sit in middle seating with two large men- I refused stating I was 6’2 with long term injuries and simply wanted my assigned seating next to the window which provided ample leg room. A white man originally in the isle seating in the row I was seated at stated that her child her child should sit in the middle seating and that I take his isle seat and then said, “you’re welcome “. I wasn’t happy about the outcome yet I seated next to the woman with the two children in hopes of getting to my destination. A few minutes later much to my surprise, the white flight attendant offered a free alcoholic beverage to both the white man and another white woman who were inconvenienced not much as a look my way for the same inconvenience. I was miffed yet suck this up as well. Later as snacks were being distributed I found myself being hit in the back of the head with a package of cookies. I awaited for an apology- nothing. I reached down to retrieve the cookies to turn around to see tje Asian woman distributing snacks directly behind me with the food cart. As I looked at

Customer: yes. I spoken with the attendant flight leader who stated during the middle of the flight if I want she could disrupt the sleeping children and there mother. Oh, and she awarded me a thousand points!

Customer: the attendant stated when I finally said you hit me with a ‘dry’ apology. I spoke with a red shirt customer service rep at the gate after I pressed the issue after getting hit

Customer: So, asking for a friend....need a lawyer for him to sit with or send a contract to. He hired a company to move household goods to AK from VA in May. They have told him it would take 2-3 weeks; that was in May and the goods have yet to arrive. They broker wouldn't help him and then they told him his goods were here, only to tell him they were in CA. No one has ever been able to provide a manifest or bill of lading or whatever to prove it was even shipped and the "owner" contradicted himself saying the goods were here and then on their way to AK last week during a text conversation. Now the movers are threatening suing him and he is freaking out. He did contact the credit card company and they removed funds from the movers, which prompted them to actually return a phone call. This is ridiculous and he needs someone to talk with.
JA: Have you talked to a lawyer about this?
Customer: He tried talking to a couple attorneys and one stated it was too small and the other basically said he was out of line and screwed!
JA: What steps have you taken so far?
Customer: 1) credit card company reversed charges 2) tried the senators office and they referred him to both the FBI and local law enforcement. He tried the FBI, just keeps hitting brick walls. He just wants his household goods and for them to be in good shape. He read reviews and this company had it's DOT license revoked in CA. Reviews were horrible. This is just a bad situation!

Customer: Because they basically didn't deliver services in 3 months, they feel he breeched his contract with them and has no recourse for them not being able to pinpoint where his household goods are, offer a bill of lading or tell him when the items shipped, etc.
