Hello thank you - can our lawyer who is handling my husband's deceased aunt's will get either a sin number with copy of signature or copy of income tax information showing our deceased cousin's signature sent to him to compare signatures on cousin's will that is currently in dispute with cousin's sister

I know your question is important to you and I will be giving it the time and attention it deserves.

Sometimes responses and replies take time, so I ask you to be courteous and patient to allow me the time to type answers to you and also to others. At times I may even have to do some research.

I am sorry to hear of this difficult situation.

Are you saying that there is an allegation that your cousin's signature was forged? Was he a witness to the aunt's will?

Customer
Cousin's will was typed and hand written, he owned 4 houses, two were to go to his aunt (who passed away shortly after he passed) and two to his sister
Michael signed and his initials are on the page which is hand written and there is a witness signature as well Cousin's will was not found until after sister had all 4 houses sold and funds put in her account Beneficiaries of Aunt's will want to take sister of cousin to court to have the funds of the two houses that were to go to aunt returned to aunt's estate as per cousin's intentions of his will We need to get a copy of cousin's signature to compare to the will, we need to find out of Revenue Canada will release a copy of his income tax paper work with his signature

Who is the executor for your cousin's estate?

Customer
His sister Diane

Is his sister willing to get the documents from the CRA?

Customer
I believe that the sister and her lawyer are refusing to get the info to us - so we will be going to court to fight over the will of the cousin

Here is the answer to your query. Please do not hesitate to ask any follow up questions related to this response and know that I will respond as soon as I can.

Diane could easily get it because she can get whatever her brother could get while living so you could get a court order requiring her to produce that documentation. You don't actually have to get an order against the CRA.

Do you see what I mean?
