Customer: Hello Debra.... well the CAS interview went well. Makenna was very mature and explained everything what she say that day at her fathers, she brought up many things that made her feel uncomfortable.. she of course got upset but that was expected to happen. I as well cried , just heart break seeing your own child cry. She told the worker that she feels unsafe there, uncomfortable and terrified. The case worker told her that she will not force her to go, that no cop will force her to go, that she’s mature and old enough to make her own decisions, so if she doesn’t want to go then she doesn’t have to go.. she informed me usually kids this age it doesn’t go that far in courts. Told her that my ex may serve me papers but she told me to get the OCL involved and that point the damage would be done already.. but she applauded makenna for being so mature and handling the situation with so much bravery! 😀. When she was getting ready to leave she told me that it seems I’m a very caring mother and Makenna is save here. She told me that my ex will be contacted before the end of this week .. she’ll be talking to them next, but she may talk to the 11 year old at school since Makenna mentioned that she won’t be honest with her mom around... Makenna also told the worker that she’s concerned with the household as well since there to many people living there so the case worker will be looking at that too... she told Makenna that’s good that she brought that up to her.... so now I just wait and see what happens.... if it gets closed are they actually advise my ex and wife to get help or have the other child put elsewhere for now till they get that help.

Here is the answer to your query. Please do not hesitate to ask any follow up questions related to this response and know that I will respond as soon as I can.

He is not going to dare try and force MacKenna now. She is going to be safe.

But one thing I was thinking about is that you and McKenna should have a little log books or keep something on your computers to keep track of what he tries to do. So for example, if he says he's coming over to grab her write that down. If he screams at her then write it down.

If she hears from her sister, write that down etc.

Keep track of all that goes on in case you need it.

Does that make sense?

Customer
That’s something we already do! Well I do. I have a huge binder from since he was 3 ... I keep everything.
