Just received court papers for appearance related to November 2020 incident regarding at the time our 8 month old cane

What you can do is show the court all that you are doing. You just listed excellent evidence as to how responsible you were being and given that you are now using a muzzle I'm not sure what more they would expect from you.

As well from a civil point of view you've done all a court could order.
