Hello and Welcome to JustAnswer. My name is***** will be working on your question today and I am looking forward to our conversation.

Hello

Debra, Expert

Please note that I am working from my computer and not actually texting. If you don’t answer back for a while I may not be online when you do but I will never desert you and will check back often. As well, as I am working from home it is possible that I will be interrupted but I will always return back as soon as I can.

Finally, although the site offers a call option I personally do not take calls but just work online. Some find this confusing as it looks like the offer is coming from me but that is just how the site presents the offer and it really isn’t coming from me. Some of the other experts do take calls and so you are very welcome to request a call on this post and an expert may take it. They will have the benefit of reading our exchange which should work out very well for everyone involved!

These are the details of what's happening -I have a Rottweiler who is leash aggressive towards a few dogs in our neighbourhood. Off leash, while hiking, totally fine with all dogs. On or off leash he has never physically harmed, bit or made contact with any dog. He barks and lunges while leashed at some, but not all dogs. Now, I have a neighbour who has a Weiner dog, and our dogs have never had any altercation whatsoever. He & I have chatted a few times with my dog present & we say hi in passing. No concerns have been brought to my attention by him. The other week my dog and another dog got in a barking match. This is a regular occurrence between the 2 of them. My neighbour with the Weiner dog came to the area where it happened and after he thought I was not in earshot, I heard him say that something needs to happen with that dog and he’ll do something about it and how he’s dangerous and needs to go. I’ve heard from others in our neighbourhood he is wanting my dog removed from my care. Roman has never hurt a dog, he’s never made any contact with any dog, ever. And I am working with him to stop this behaviour Can he actually have my dog removed? What legal recourse would I have in this matter?

Further - I have a female Rottweiler as well and she is sweet, timid and quiet. So it's unlikely I can be painted as a bad dog owner as it's just one of them, right???

This needs to be nipped in the bud and quickly because this is a very vicious neighbour.

I suggest that you retain a lawyer and have the lawyer send a letter demanding that they cease-and-desist from harassing you and defaming you and threatening a lawsuit. That will stop them.

What you can do to find a lawyer is one of the following things.

You can contact the BC Branch of the Canadian Bar Association and use their Lawyer Referral Service. You will be given the name of a lawyer and can consult with the lawyer and the first half hour will be $25.

The number is:

***-***-**** or 1.***-***-****.

Or you can check on a site called lexpert. This is a legal directory of leading lawyers and law firms throughout Canada and is well-respected by the legal community.

Here's the link to their website:

http://www.lexpert.ca/directory/find-lawyers-or-law-firms/

Does that help as a starting point?

Customer
