Hello and Welcome to JustAnswer. My name is***** will be working on your question today and I am looking forward to our conversation.
Debra, Expert
Please note that I am working from my computer and not actually texting. If you don’t answer back for a while I may not be online when you do but I will never desert you and will check back often. As well, as I am working from home it is possible that I will be interrupted but I will always return back as soon as I can.
Finally, although the site offers a call option I personally do not take calls but just work online. Some find this confusing as it looks like the offer is coming from me but that is just how the site presents the offer and it really isn’t coming from me. Some of the other experts do take calls and so you are very welcome to request a call on this post and an expert may take it. They will have the benefit of reading our exchange which should work out very well for everyone involved!

I know your question is important to you and I will be giving it the time and attention it deserves.
I am sorry to hear of this difficult situation.
What do you mean when you say your husband's companion has been rejected?
Debra, Expert
I don't know why you are saying hello. I answered you and I told you that I don't know what you mean by your husband's companion. There's no such thing as a companion being rejected so can you please try to figure out what the correct word is so I can answer you.
Debra, Expert
Well I find that strange as well because I would've thought they would've treated you both the same. Do you have a copy of your husband's rejection letter that I could read please?
Debra, Expert
Can you please attach it?
Debra, Expert
So what they are basically saying is they don't believe that your spouse will leave when the next visa expires if he's granted another one. I'm surprised that they didn't find the same for you but I think you just got lucky. The fact is that you don't have the right to remain in Canada with your son just because he's attending school in Canada. And that you weren't planning to stay past March 20 but then there was a pandemic.
So, you can retain an immigration lawyer and seek to have the decision reviewed by a court but it's not so likely that you would be able to succeed.
Do you see what I mean?
Debra, Expert
Unless you can afford a lawyer who is experienced and see what they can do.
Debra, Expert
Well I don't know how that would help your spouse and you would need an offer enrolment in a university first.
Debra, Expert
Yes he can be added to your study permit.
Things change all the time but if they are saying he must leave then he must leave.

There is no point in doing that unless you have a lawyer assisting you. It won't help at this point.
Debra, Expert
It is unlikely that the government will allow him to come back again soon given the fact that they have told him he must leave because they don't think his reason for staying is valid. I think you need to get an opinion from an immigration lawyer has all the facts in some detail as to what is the best next step.

You are very welcome.
