Hello and Welcome to JustAnswer. My name is***** will be working on your question today and I am looking forward to our conversation.
Please note that the experts don’t text so there may be a bit of a delay. If you don’t answer back for a while I may not be online when you do but I will never desert you and will check back often. As well, as I am working from home it is possible that I will be interrupted but I will always return back as soon as I can.
I am sorry to hear of this difficult situation.
What is your specific legal question?
Debra, Expert
Are you in a union?
Did you tell the employer that it was their fault?
Debra, Expert
You are definitely right right.
In terms of the ticket you should plead guilty with an explanation and explain that you went by the speedometer of a truck that did not belong to you.
In terms of the employer, you can tell the employer that you receive legal information from a senior lawyer who told you that it is completely wrong and unethical for them to suspend you for a day when they gave you a truck that caused you to receive a ticket and that in fact they should be paying for the ticket and any insurance increase if your premiums go up and should pay you for the day of suspension.
The problem is that because you're not in a union there's nothing you can do to compel the employer to do the right thing unless you were to quit and sue them unfortunately.
Do you see what I mean?
