Please note that the experts don’t text so there may be a bit of a delay. If you don’t answer back for a while I may not be online when you do but I will never desert you and will check back often. As well, as I am working from home it is possible that I will be interrupted but I will always return back as soon as I can.

I am sorry to hear of this difficult situation.

Yes you can and if they don't agree you can call a members meeting so get out your bylaws and see what the procedure is for doing that. They won't be able to stop that.

They have to understand that this is a democratic process and if the majority of the building do not agree with them you can oust the current board and have a new election.

Does that help?

I am sorry. I missed the point that you are a tenant. No you don't have a right to participate. Only the owners can do that.

Customer
The building is mixed. It has owners and tenants the budget increase impacts on rents and fees. Tenants have asked me if they can sign for a small group to meet with the board to review the budget. I have advised them they need proxy from their owner. Some said no so I am checking. The proposed increase will impact on the rent about the legislative level. It could.

The tenants have no say and have no right to deal with the board or the Board budget. The unit owner would have to seek the consent of the landlord and tenant board for a rental increase and the tenant can fight that at the board level.
