Please note that the experts don’t text so there may be a bit of a delay. If you don’t answer back for a while I may not be online when you do but I will never desert you and will check back often. As well, as I am working from home it is possible that I will be interrupted but I will always return back as soon as I can.

I am sorry to hear of this difficult situation.

What is their reason?

Customer
Hi Debra, My car dealer says there is nothing wrong with the car. According to spec, the consumption should be 7.6 l/ 100KM highway and 9.1 /100 km city. After they repaired my car in warranty, I recorded 15l/100km. I have been back multiple times to complain but they are not fixing this. They say it's normal. Something is obviously seriously wrong.

Have you try to get another opinion from another car repair shop?

Have you tried contacting head office of the dealership?

Has this been true of the car since you purchased it?

Customer
No because they are telling me my warranty is not valid when going elsewhere it invalidates aat once.I talked to chevy ca and they are referring me back to the dealer. The service manager just told me off.The car was ok before the turbo blew. It was consuming according to manufacturor spec. Now after repair it is 40 to 50% higher.

What you can do is send them a letter by Registered Mail. In the letter set out the facts and demand that he make the repairs or replace what they replaced once by a deadline that you set.

Tell them if they fail to comply you will commence legal proceedings and then will be seeking an order that they do whatever is necessary at no cost to you to bring the car back into the same state it was in before and for your costs.

You can then sue them in Small Claims Court and self-represent. If it gets that far and you find you need some help as you go through the process you can always post on this site again and I can assist you further.

Does that help as a starting point?

Customer
Do you know what address and department to send it? New Roads GM in Newmarket. I have no official address or department. Thanks.
