Let me explain the business situation
Customer
We opened company in Canada. No of directors =3.
Customer
One director is a Canadian citizens and two directors are located in US (one green card and one us citizen). US residence directors doesn't have any relationship with Canada.
Customer
We want open the bank account in and bank is asking for solicitor document.
Customer
Questions:
Customer
1. Can we open the bank accounts without solicitor with three directors? 2. US lawyers are not doing the solicitors with above business situations 3. Can US notary do the solicitor instead of Lawyer??

Normally half of the directors need to be Canadian for a Canadian company (if there are 3 directors, then 2 of them must be Canadian). Normally you can open the bank accounts with solicitor and the US notary can certainly do the job instead of a lawyer. My only concern is that you only have 1 Canadian director and that may pose issues down the road for you.

I hope that helps. If there is anything else that I can assist you with, please do not hesitate to contact me.
