Please note that the experts don’t text so there may be a bit of a delay. If you don’t answer back for a while I may not be online when you do but I will never desert you and will check back often. As well, as I am working from home it is possible that I will be interrupted but I will always return back as soon as I can.

I am sorry to hear of this difficult situation.

Are you saying that the landlord is trying to evict you?

Customer
Hello debra my name is ***** ***** we are looking forward to getting answers on how we're going to go about this I have pictures and people to validate the abuse from my father and his girlfriend told everyone in the building to make complaints of lies to get us evicted and the owner of the buildings is not taking into consideration of our stress with everything plus my wife has PTSD, trauma, and pdd-nos witch causes her to have a difficult time with learning new rules sometimes but for the most part she's quit and respectful and she has a hard time with walking so sometimes she falls and doesn't mean to.

So are you asking how to fight and affection or are you asking how to get his girlfriend away from your father?

Customer
My father has left the residence for good and me and my wife are where under some stress so we argue twice nothing physical I would never lay a hand on my wife and one of the statements state that I have physically laid hands on my way my father was the abusive one and I was under a lot of stress because of what he did to me and his friends I forgot to mention his friend was here and threw me across the kitchen that's how my finger ended up broken and my father Rose a fist to my wife and now the landlord doesn't believe us because my father and his girlfriend lied to the landlord and told all the residents here to lie and say a bunch of stuff and my wife hurt her out in the hallway talking about it and confronted her about it and she lied to her face so I was wondering how about we can go about charging my father and if the landlord evicts us how we will proceed with charges against the landlord for false accusations

In terms of the eviction, the landlord has to get an order of eviction from the landlord tenant board. It will take months because of Covid for the landlord to be able to get a hearing. You will be able to attend the hearing and it will likely be over the telephone and you will make it clear that you are not the one that disturbed anyone. You will succeed because you are telling the truth.

You can also sue the landlord for telling lies about you to others. This is defamation and he is harming your reputation. So you can sue the landlord in small claims court for up to $35,000 and can self-represent.

If someone has harmed you then you should be calling the police because this is assault.

If your father physically harm to you then you can also have him charged by reporting this to the police and you can also sue him in small claims court.

Does that help?

Customer
