You should get a letter from your doctor who can say that you are medically exempt from wearing a mask.

In fact the law is that you don't have to explain the medical exemption but just tell them you are medically exempt but given this is making you sick you should send a letter from the doctor and then you would be able to go back to work.

Does that make sense?

Customer
My dr said that she could not give me a letter for this because of the law for covid
img

Debra, Expert

That is nonsensical. The law is that no one can compel you to give a letter or even ask for it but the point is it for you you need to show the letter so you don't feel the stress and so you can come to work and feel free of this worry.

Please call the doctor tomorrow and tell her what I said.

Customer
Ok thank you

I am not sure why you're showing me this. Just show her the doctor's letter and file a complaint if they don't agree.

Customer
Ok just for clarification who do i file a complaint with? Ontario Labour Board? Thank you again

Debra, Expert

You could complain to the employment standards branch or to the human rights Tribunal.

Customer
Ok thank you very much
